Waste less food
Seeing what's about to expire first means you actually use it before it goes bad.
Log what's in your pantry with purchase and use-by dates. See what's expired, what needs using soon, and what's still fresh, sorted automatically.

Seeing what's about to expire first means you actually use it before it goes bad.
A quick glance shows what's already covered, so you don't buy duplicates of things you already have.
Runs right in your browser and remembers your list between visits, with nothing to download.
Every item you add is stored in your browser's local storage under a namespaced key, so your list is private to this device and browser and persists across page reloads without needing an account or a server. Status badges are calculated by comparing each item's use-by date to today's date, with both dates reduced to whole calendar days so that a mismatched time of day never causes an item to flicker between statuses. An item is expired once its use-by date has passed, expiring soon when it falls within your chosen threshold window (seven days by default, adjustable up to ninety), and fresh otherwise. The list re-sorts every time you add, edit or remove an item so the thing you need to use first is always at the top. Marking an item "used" or deleting it both remove it from the list immediately — use "used" for anything you finished normally and delete for anything added by mistake.
Your pantry list stays on this device — nothing is sent to a server.
Items are always ordered by how close they are to their use-by date.
Set your own "expiring soon" window in days to match how you plan meals.
Everything is saved to your browser's local storage for this site. It stays on this device and browser and is never uploaded anywhere, so clearing your browser data will remove it.
By default, an item is "expiring soon" if its use-by date falls within the next 7 days. You can change that threshold at the top of the tracker to any number of days you prefer.
It's removed from your list immediately, the same as deleting it. Use it once you've finished or thrown out that item.
No. You enter the use-by or expiration date yourself, from the package or your own judgment. The tracker only compares dates you provide — it does not estimate expiration for you.
Dates are compared as whole calendar days with the time of day zeroed out, so an item only shows as expired once its use-by date is strictly before today, not on today itself.
