Send one image to clients or teammates instead of a large video file.
Use the grid to pick thumbnails, mark edit points or build a shot list.
The selected time range is divided into equal slices, and the tool captures the frame at the middle of each slice. Sampling from the middle instead of the very first instant avoids the black or fading frame that many videos start with, and spreads the frames evenly across the clip.
Each capture is a real seek in your browser's video decoder, drawn straight onto the sheet canvas at your chosen thumbnail width. Large sheets with many frames can take a few seconds to build, and you can cancel at any time to keep the partial result.
From a quick 2x2 overview to a dense 10-column contact sheet.
Timestamps and frame numbers are drawn on dark badges that stay readable.
Limit the storyboard to one scene by setting start and end times.
No. Frames are captured with a canvas in your browser and the video never leaves your device.
Browsers seek to the nearest decodable frame, which may be a few milliseconds away from the exact time, especially in highly compressed videos.
Sheets up to about 120 megapixels are allowed. Reduce the frame count or thumbnail width for very large grids.
Yes. Set the From and To fields to limit capture to that time range.
