Each platform gets its own progress bar, so you instantly see which ones your post fits and which it overflows.

3

Trim and reuse

Adjust your text until it fits the platforms you care about most, then copy it into place.

FAQ

What is X's (Twitter's) character limit?

Standard posts on X are limited to 280 characters. Verified subscribers on X Premium can post significantly longer text, but 280 remains the default limit most accounts should plan around.

Why does Facebook show a much lower effective limit?

Facebook technically allows posts up to 63,206 characters, but posts are visually truncated with a "See more" link after roughly 477 characters on most feed views, so shorter posts tend to get read in full more often.

Do emoji and links count differently toward the limit?

On some platforms, notably X, a URL is counted as a fixed number of characters (23) regardless of its actual length, and some emoji count as more than one character. This tool counts raw characters, so treat platform-specific quirks like these as an extra buffer to leave.
