How is overtime pay calculated?
Overtime pay is your hourly rate multiplied by your overtime multiplier (commonly 1.5× for time-and-a-half) and the number of overtime hours worked.
What overtime multiplier should I use?
In the US, federal law generally requires at least 1.5× pay for hours over 40 in a week, though some states and union contracts require higher rates such as 2× (double time).
Does this account for taxes?
