Avoid overpaying
Check whether now is a good time to transact.
Enter the gas price in gwei, the gas your transaction will use and the token price to see the fee in crypto and in your currency. Works for Ethereum and EVM networks like Arbitrum, Base, Polygon and BNB Chain.

See why a swap costs several times a transfer.
Price contract deployments before you start.
Every operation on an EVM blockchain costs a fixed amount of gas. A plain ETH transfer is always 21,000 gas; token transfers, swaps and mints run smart contract code and use more.
The price of each unit of gas changes with demand. Since EIP-1559 the base fee adjusts automatically from block to block, and users add a priority fee to be included faster.
1 gwei = 10^-9 ETH.
Work done by the transaction.
Gas used x price per gas.
Fee = gas used x (base fee + priority fee). Gas prices are quoted in gwei, where 1 gwei = 0.000000001 ETH. For example 21,000 gas x 20 gwei = 420,000 gwei = 0.00042 ETH.
The gas limit is the most your transaction may use; gas used is what it actually consumed. You only pay for gas used, but the maximum fee you authorise is gas limit x max fee per gas.
A tip to the block producer, added on top of the base fee, to get included sooner. The base fee is burned on Ethereum.
Rollups like Arbitrum, Optimism and Base also charge an L1 data fee for posting data to Ethereum. This estimator covers the execution fee only.
Your wallet shows it before you confirm, and block explorers publish gas trackers. Enter those numbers here; this page does not fetch live prices.
