About the tarot deck

A standard tarot deck has 78 cards. The 22 Major Arcana, numbered 0 to XXI from The Fool to The World, represent big life themes and turning points. The 56 Minor Arcana are split into four suits of fourteen cards: Wands for energy and ambition, Cups for emotions and relationships, Swords for thoughts and conflict, and Pentacles for work, money and practical matters. Each suit runs from Ace to Ten, followed by four court cards: Page, Knight, Queen and King.

Many readers also interpret cards drawn upside down, called reversed, as a blocked, delayed or inward version of the card's usual meaning. Turn off reversed cards if you prefer to read every card upright. The card of the day stays the same all day, so you can come back to it.

Three-card spread

Past, present and future: a simple story arc for any question.

Celtic Cross

Two choices

Tarot draw FAQ

Are the cards really random?

Yes. The deck is shuffled with your browser's cryptographic random number generator every time you draw.

What does a reversed card mean?

A reversed card is usually read as the card's energy being blocked, delayed, internal or excessive. Its reversed keywords are shown when it appears upside down.

Can tarot predict the future?

There is no scientific evidence that it can. These readings are meant for reflection and entertainment, not as advice for health, legal or financial decisions.

What is the card of the day?

A single card chosen from today's date, so it stays the same until midnight on your device.

Can I use only the Major Arcana?

Yes. Choose Major Arcana only to draw from the 22 trump cards.
