FAQ

How is ROI calculated?

ROI equals your gain (final value minus initial investment) divided by the initial investment, shown as a percentage.

What is annualized ROI?

It spreads your total ROI evenly over the number of years held, calculated as ((final value divided by cost) to the power of 1 divided by years) minus 1, so you can compare investments held for different lengths of time.

Why don't I see an annualized ROI?

Annualized ROI only shows when you enter a period greater than zero years, and requires a positive cost and final value to calculate a valid growth rate.
