Mouse Mileage Tracker Online

Track every pixel your mouse travels in this tab, then see how that tiny on-screen journey stacks up in meters, feet, kilometers and miles.

Tracking active
Your mouse is moving!
Distance traveled this session 0 pixels

Move your mouse anywhere on this page to start the odometer.

The honest limitation: browsers can only count movement while your pointer is over this page. Movement in other tabs, apps and outside the browser stays invisible.

How the mouse distance tracker works

Each time your cursor moves, the tracker measures the straight-line gap between its previous and current on-page positions. Those little segments are added into one live pixel total, then converted into familiar physical units using your calibration.

01

Move naturally

Use your mouse or trackpad as usual anywhere on this page. There is no special box to stay inside.

02

Watch pixels pile up

The odometer adds every recorded pointer segment and keeps the total through ordinary refreshes in this tab.

03

Meet the milestones

Cross 10 centimeters, one meter, a room and eventually a tennis court. Yes, your cursor gets a tasteful “wow.”

From screen pixels to real-world distance

Browsers report cursor positions in CSS pixels, not centimeters. This online mouse mileage tracker starts with the web standard of 96 CSS pixels per inch, so 3,780 pixels is about one meter. Your monitor, operating-system scaling and browser zoom can make the physical result differ.

If you know your setup's effective CSS pixel density, open Distance calibration and enter it. The raw pixel count remains exact for the movement events this page receives; only the physical conversion changes.

Conversion pixels ÷ PPI = inches inches × 2.54 = centimeters

Default: 96 pixels per inch

Mouse mileage tracker online FAQs

How does the mouse mileage tracker work?

The page reads mouse or trackpad movement events and adds the pixel distance between each consecutive on-page pointer position. It starts automatically when you move your mouse.

How accurate is the real-world distance?

The pixel total is based directly on the movement events your browser reports. The conversion to meters, feet or miles is an estimate because monitors, display scaling and browser zoom vary. Adjust the pixels-per-inch calibration for a closer estimate.

Does it track my mouse outside this page?

No. A webpage cannot watch your pointer in another tab, another application or elsewhere on your computer. The tracker also resets its last position when your pointer leaves, so it does not count a large jump when you return.

Does refreshing reset my mouse mileage?

No. The running pixel total, session start and calibration are stored in session storage for this tab. Use Reset when you want to begin a new journey. Closing the tab normally ends the session.

Is my mouse movement private?

Yes. The tool performs its calculations locally in your browser. It does not upload pointer coordinates, create a movement map or require an account.

Is this mouse mileage tracker online free?

Yes. It is free to use online with no download, extension, sign-up or account.
