FAQ

Is my photo sent to a server?

No. The whole edit happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API, so your photo never leaves your device.

How is saturation calculated?

Each pixel's grayscale luminance is computed with 0.299R + 0.587G + 0.114B, then every channel is blended between that gray value and the original color by the saturation amount, including values above 100% for extra punch.

Can I fully desaturate a photo to black and white?

Yes. Drag the slider all the way to -100 to remove all color and get a pure grayscale version of your photo.
