Ticks up live
The counter climbs in real time based on the minutes elapsed since you woke up.
Tell us when you woke up and how you've been breathing. We'll estimate the running total and keep it ticking up in real time.

Set the time you woke up this morning, then pick a breathing-rate preset that best matches how you've spent most of the day — or enter your own number if you know it. The counter does the rest, climbing every second.
The estimate is simple on purpose: minutes elapsed since your wake-up time, multiplied by your chosen breathing rate in breaths per minute. It updates roughly once a second so the number visibly climbs while you watch. Resting adults typically breathe around 12–16 times a minute, light activity nudges that higher, and exercise pushes it well beyond that — but everyone's real rate wanders throughout the day.
The tool assumes a single rate for your whole day, which real breathing never actually holds to.
There's no camera, microphone, or wearable data here — just arithmetic based on what you enter.
Quick answers about how the live estimate works.
The tool multiplies the minutes elapsed since your wake-up time by your chosen breathing rate (breaths per minute), and updates that total roughly once a second as real time passes.
Resting (around 14 breaths per minute) is typical for sitting or lying down. Light activity and exercise presets are higher because breathing rate rises with movement. If you've measured your own rate, use the custom option.
No. It is a rough estimate built from one flat rate applied across your whole day, not a real measurement from a sensor. Actual breathing rate constantly shifts with activity, emotion, sleep, and health.
No. All the math happens in your browser using the wake-up time and rate you enter. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.
