A strange perspective
Imagine being the age your parent was when they held you for the first time.
Find the exact day you catch up to the age your mom or dad was when you were born. It is also the day they become exactly twice your age.

Imagine being the age your parent was when they held you for the first time.
On the same day, your parent is exactly twice as old as you, a moment that only happens once.
Share the date with your family and ask what life was like for them at that age.
First the tool counts the exact number of days between your parent's birthday and yours. That is how old they were, in days, on the day you were born. Adding the same number of days to your own birthday gives the date when you will have lived exactly as long as they had at that moment.
Because the gap between your ages never changes, that same day is also when your parent turns exactly twice your age: you have lived X days, and they have lived X days plus the X days they had before you were born. Counting in days avoids any confusion from leap years and different month lengths.
Day counting keeps the result precise across leap years.
Days, hours, minutes and seconds update every second.
If the date has passed, it shows how long ago it was.
The tool works with dates only. If you know the birth times, the real moment could be up to a day earlier or later.
Yes. Enter any older relative's birth date and choose a label. The math works the same way.
Your parent's age is always your age plus the fixed gap. When your age equals the gap, their age is gap plus gap, which is twice yours.
That is not possible for a birth parent, so the tool asks you to check the dates.
No. Everything is calculated in your browser.
