FAQ

How does the layout algorithm work?

The generator places your longest answer first, then looks for a shared letter with an already-placed answer to fit each new word crossing it. If no good overlap is found, the word is placed in its own row so every entry you type always appears in the puzzle.

Can I hide the answers?

Yes. By default the grid shows blank numbered cells. Turn on Reveal answers to check your own puzzle before printing or sharing it.

Is there a limit to how many clues I can add?

No hard limit, though very long lists produce a larger grid. You need at least 2 clue and answer pairs to generate a puzzle.
