For shapes and freehand drawings, the outline is measured along its full length and dots are spaced at equal distances, so even a quick doodle turns into a neat, evenly numbered puzzle. Numbers are pushed outward from the centre of the drawing so they sit beside the dots rather than on the line. The first dot is shown in green to help young children find where to begin.
Place dots mode gives you full control: upload a photo, then tap around the outline in order. The photo is drawn faintly as a guide while you work but is never printed, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
10 to 20 dots, large dots and numbers, with the faint outline on.
