Quantities that make sense
Meals, socks, water and fuel are calculated from your nights and group size, not guessed.
Tell it how many nights, how many people and what conditions to expect, and get a categorized checklist with quantities already scaled — ready to check off or copy.
Generic camping checklists either miss things or pile on gear you don't need. This tool builds a list around your actual trip so nothing important gets left behind and nothing gets over-packed.

Comfort gear like chairs and coolers only shows up when weight isn't a concern.
Rain, bugs, sun and cold each add the specific gear that condition actually calls for.
The generator starts from a baseline dictionary of camping gear organized into seven categories: shelter, sleep system, cooking & food, clothing, safety & first-aid, personal & hygiene, and misc & gear. Some items are quantity-scaled formulas rather than flat entries — meals are nights × people × three, socks are one pair per person per night plus a spare, drinking water is roughly three liters per person per day, and trash bags and stove fuel scale with trip length too. Selecting car camping keeps comfort items like a cooler, camp chairs, a table and a lantern in the list, while backpacking swaps them out for lightweight essentials like a water filter, a bear canister and trekking poles. Checking rain, bugs, sun or picking a colder season layers in the specific gear those conditions call for, like rain shells, insect repellent, sunscreen or extra insulation, on top of the baseline. Everything runs client-side in your browser — checked items are saved to local storage so your progress survives a page reload, and nothing about your trip is ever sent anywhere.
Shelter, sleep, cooking, clothing, safety, hygiene and misc gear, generated together.
Meals, socks, water and fuel formulas adjust to nights and people automatically.
Checked items persist in your browser between visits — nothing is uploaded.
Quantities scale with your inputs. Meals are nights times people times three, socks are one pair per person per night plus a spare pair, and similar formulas apply to water, trash bags and fuel so the list matches your actual trip size.
Car camping adds comfort items like a cooler, camp chairs, a table and a lantern since weight isn't a concern. Backpacking mode removes those and adds lightweight essentials like a water filter, bear canister and trekking poles instead.
Selecting rain, bugs, sun or a colder season adds relevant items automatically, such as rain gear, insect repellent, sunscreen or extra insulating layers, on top of the baseline checklist.
