Printable one-time codes

Backup Code Generator

Generate a printable set of 2FA-style one-time backup codes for your own records, password manager or documentation — entirely offline.

10
🔒 Codes are generated locally with a cryptographically secure random number generator. Nothing is uploaded, saved, or linked to any account.

How it works

1

Choose how many codes

Most services issue 8 to 10 one-time backup codes — adjust the count to match.

2

Generate the set

Each code is random and avoids easily confused characters like 0/O and 1/I/L.

3

Save them safely

Copy, download as a text file, or print — then store the codes somewhere secure and offline.

FAQ

What are backup codes used for?

Most two-factor authentication systems offer a set of one-time backup codes so you can still sign in if you lose access to your authenticator app or device. Each code normally works only once.

Are these codes linked to my real account?

No. This tool only generates random-looking codes in the same format real services use — it does not connect to, register with, or replace the backup codes issued by any actual account or service.

How should I store backup codes?

Print them or save them somewhere offline and secure, such as a password manager or a locked drawer — not in an easily accessible plain-text file. Treat them like a spare key to your account.
